Just three months ago, I wrote to you as Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County, like the rest of the community, was dealing with the initial effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Then, I asked you to bring hope home to the families Habitat serves. We knew these families would be affected as resources shrank. We also knew that the stability and security of a safe, affordable home could help counteract these effects.

Thanks to our supporters, we’ve since closed on 10 houses and helped 37 men, women and children purchase their Habitat homes. (Read more about these families in this blog post.)

Applications for our homeownership program reopened.

Local, non-Habitat houses also received critical repairs from us as well – spreading our impact to more than only Habitat homeowners.

Now, we want to keep building back hope, stability and community:

Hope for local people seeking the foundation of home to build a better future for their families. Building back stability in Central Florida through giving people the tools to be successful homeowners – and therefore strengthen their communities.

Your financial gift will help strengthen us as we work toward our goals during our new fiscal year. We want to help more local families build back through the construction of 26 homes, repair of 110 local homes, and the mentoring of 50 families, among other goals.

Thank you for any support you can give, even if it’s simply sharing the story of Habitat Orlando & Osceola’s impact in building back Central Florida. Together, we can strengthen our community!

With gratitude,

Catherine Steck McManus

President and CEO
