October/November 2021: Road and utility improvements in Silver Pines Pointe
Over the next few weeks, there will be road and utility improvements performed within a portion of Silver Pines Pointe Phase III to prepare for future Habitat homes. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and commit to completing this necessary work ASAP.

1. What is happening on my street?
Habitat is working with Lee Crest Construction to adjust the water and sewer lines that run to Habitat-owned vacant lots to meet Orange County utility requirements and prepare these lots for future homes. This will involve opening portions of the street (on one side only) to adjust the location of existing, unused water and sewer lines. Upon completion and inspection from Orange County and OUC, the street will be repaired and curbing reinstalled.
2. Which parts of the street are going to be impacted?
The proposed work will be conducted on a portion of Ridge Pointe Drive between Spruce Ridge Drive and Bogie Court and a small portion of Glen Lake Lane between 5514 and 5534.
3. Will I be able to get to and from my home? What about emergency vehicles?
Only one side of the road will be closed during construction activities, and flaggers will be present for the duration of road work to ensure all vehicles can safely pass.
4. Will I lose power or water to my home?
There is no anticipated loss of either water or power to any existing homes within the area of construction.
5. What times of day will work be done?
Construction will occur between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
6. How long will this take?
We estimate that the entire project will take approximately four weeks from start to finish, though not every portion of the roadway will be impacted during that time, as the majority of the work is anticipated to occur outside of the street.
