When the walls were raised by 30 Enterprise Holdings volunteers on Jan. 21, it signified the beginning of a new life for one Central Florida family and marked the beginning of a collaboration between Enterprise Holdings and Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County.

“Enterprise Holdings and Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County share the common goal of building healthier communities across Central Florida,” says Eva Faria, group insurance account manager of Enterprise Holdings. “We stand alongside this phenomenal nonprofit that understands the impact that safe, affordable housing has on people’s physical, mental and emotional health.”

In addition to volunteering, the Enterprise Holdings Foundation donated $75,000 to further support Habitat Orlando & Osceola’s efforts to help people build strength, stability, and independence through new homeownership, homeowner education, and home repair programs. The donation will help build three homes in Pine Hills’ Silver Pines Pointe community.

“As Central Florida confronts an affordable housing crisis—made worse by inflation and supply chain challenges—community partners are essential to achieving our mission,” said Catherine Steek McManus, Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County president & CEO. “Thank you to Enterprise Holdings for this generous gift that will help us continue to invest in building homes for the families of Central Florida.”
